Near the edge of the field, where wildflowers grow,
next to the cold clean river, with its calming flow,
a mother deer passes close, with her fawns in tow,
when it's solitude I seek, here, is where I go.
A mother duck with ducklings swim by in a row,
music from the birds above puts on quite a show.
All of them in harmony, except for one lone crow,
while I lay there with my dreams, gently, warm winds blow.
The sun setting in the west casts a fiery glow,
Mother Nature's light show, astounds, as we all know.
When anxiety takes hold, I'm sad from head to toe,
magical Minnesota lifts me up when I feel low.
It's here, in my special place, that I let go of woe,
all my troubles flung away, they scatter to and fro.
Snuggled in my grassy bed, the time begins to slow,
Mother Nature on this land decided to bestow...
Beauty from Spring's vibrant green, or white with winter snow.
