Writing Prompt
For this challenge you will write a sedoka.
This is a Japanese form that consists of two unrhymed poems that MAY show the same scene from two different perspectives or angles.
Each one has a syllable count of 5/5/7
Here's an example:
The cat's meowing
Pleads her case convincingly
Hunger gleams in golden eyes
Missus Smith's tutting
Suggests the cat's been eating
Far too much for her own good
Author Notes
Please note the correct number of syllables is: 5-7-7.
Great preachers and teachers of the past could speak for hours in monotone and people would respond, wanting to learn more about The Lord. Today, unfortunately, if you deliver too much scripture in a teaching or a preaching service, many cannot keep up with it and may become bored. Also, many prefer the easy to read versions rather than the King James Version, which was written when the English language was at its highest level, not dumbed down like today.
