She used to shine so bright. Even the sun was jealous of her radiance. A dazzling dance of color,  She was a rainbow of reassurance after a storm.    She has been beaten down so incessantly. Does she realize the weapon that has been forged? She doesn't acknowledge her value. Tarnished metal, Cherished silver in need of polishing.    A glowing ember longing for a spark. She needs to be ignited.  A Phoenix reborn.  Her fire ablaze once again.    A beacon for my lost soul to follow. Guiding me safely into the harbor. When the storms rage,  I look for her light.    She is my sister... Author Notes My sister has always been known as the "perky Happy" one in the family. She has been struggling with self image and depression the past several years. This poem is dedicated to reigniting the fire in my sister. She has always been my constant...
