1948, Austin, Texas, born, raised, rowdy…     Worked grocery stores, construction, oil rigs.   Navy, age 20 to 24, Far East. PO2 Communications.           1974, Graduated, U-Texas, International Business           First corporate job: New York City, Rockefeller Center, 1975, Temporary residence in Hong Kong covering Far East. 1976, Returned to Texas, new company. Bought first house 1977, Married Massachusetts Yankee (I had been drinking!).           We’d met in NYC 1978, First daughter born: healthy, beautiful, sweet  1979, Second daughter born: healthy, beautiful, challenging 1980, Bought second home, much work modernizing 1982, Career change. From selling oil production equipment to PLASTICS! 1985, Third daughter born: Healthy, beautiful, surprise. Still. Daily… Plastic sales took me to twenty-five countries. Never wealthy as dreamed, but never broke as feared. Survived a million airmiles, taxis in Third world, heart attack, 3 daughters, 47 years married to my Yankee. What a ride! (Did I mention Tex-Mex food? Golf? Bourbon? Sauvignon Blanc?)   Writing Prompt Write the entire story of your life in no more than 150 words. You can be experimental, creative, funny, serious, provocative, reflective, whatever style you best feel represents your life. You must write about your entire life, not just a moment of it. No poetry (too easy). No fiction (YOUR life), although metaphors are acceptable so long as they are directly interpretable to be about your life. You'll be surprised at what your life looks like in 150 words. Author Notes My fantasy is that St Peter at the gate will say, "It was a close vote, but I was told to let you in. However, this place is going to seem a little quiet for you. Try not to disturb the others..."
