Happy Texan Birthday, Terry
by Debi Pick Marquette
A little about Terry's heritage ~
***
Great Grandma, 1836
From Tennessee, back in the sticks
Was Texas bound on wagon trains
With Davy Crockett through the plains
He led them till he had to go
To fight battle of Alamo
****
Fourth generation Texas raised
For kindness Terry's often praised
No matter how hard you might try
You'll never find a nicer guy
You'll wonder if it's possible
That his non-fiction's Texas bull
But he won't need a polygraph
He just knows how to make us laugh
He joined here 2021
His posts are mostly filled with fun
He writes about all of his friends
With us, his friend list never ends
And Zoe, the love of his life
His one and only, cherished wife
She truly lived until she died
And Terry's taken it in stride
We're happy that we have him here
He brings a vibrant atmosphere
A humble heart, a giving hand
Someone who's proud of his great land
And he has never been a dad
But as cat-daddy, he's not bad
His Santa book has done quite well
And soon there may be more to tell
As old man, you always relate
You're not that old, I checked the date
But if you want to play that part
Then Happy Birthday, you old Fart
