Exceptional Only the beginning Brave New Start by Jesse James Doty

As I awake to hear a nightbird’s song bringing in a spectacular dawn…I contemplate the beginning of a brave new start coming my way. I want it so much I can taste it. Flavors so rich with creamy sauces dripping all over to replenish the heart soul and mind. So, the old emptiness is hard to find. These dreams help me sleep at night. Longing for love and happiness and all the wonderful hopes for the future. My body knows how to get there, it just needs to rediscover how to peak and ebb and flow until there is nothing left to hide. The inside of me needs everything imaginable to wait for the right time to accept greater happenings. Then and only then, will I know what it feels like to be open to new experiences of a magnitude that I can handle. True freedom comes from within. And nobody can take away the emotional ecstasy encapsulating every cell when I self-actualize completely. All my good wishes are for a brave new start to happen. I am more than ready. I feel alive and empowered by others such as my friends and caregivers. They have been in my corner during this time of upheaval and strife. To say it’s been easy would be wrong in so many ways. Yet everything worth having is worth working hard for. I’ve done a good job at licking this sadness to turn it into gladness. Gratitude comes to mind as well. I feel grateful for being alive and surviving every trauma that comes my way. I am thankful for old and new friends who have supported me throughout this time. I hunger for closeness no matter who they are, and I will receive them with open arms and an open mind every time. A brave new start is showing up and doing what is necessary to gain the trust and respect of all. Recognized Author Notes I have so much to look forward to it boggles the mind.
