When we are traveling around the Phoenix Arizona area, we see many of these cacti in the hills around the area. These plants are protected plants. They are quite expensive when you buy one. And they even have a thing where you can name a particular saguaro cactus. The average lifetime of the Saguaro cactus is 150 to 175 years.
