The Call by Yardier

The Devil’s call is sweet and clear,
the evil last days have begun.
Wolves blatantly call the sheep,
and bleatingly they come.

There is a darker side to daylight,
this fallen world has held.
For hapless prey and those who say,
“Long last the wolves’ kingdom.”

With drooling tongues and focused eyes,
they delight to mock you.
They slip in and out from shadows,
they stay just out of view.

So, quickly tell all your kinsmen,
protect them with God’s love.
Teach them about His saving grace,
share His Word from above.

His mantel will drape around you,
it’ll cover all your fears.
He will carry all your burdens,
He always will be near.

And as the days go passing by,
the saints will grow stronger.
Prowling wolves will be less a threat,
as we reach ‘Up Yonder’.

Gathered on God's holy knoll,
and, if we could look back.
We’d see a group of struggling dogs;
the Devil’s mongrel pack.

Eternally lost and howling,
they’ll chase each other’s tail.
They can’t escape the evilness,
where sin and hate prevail.

No longer will we be tempted,
by evil’s lying face.
We will sing ‘Hallelujah Lord’,
for His offer that saved.

Our voices glorious and bright,
will rise sweet from our lips.
They’ll echo through all of heaven,
with gracious thankfulness.

Until that time abide in Him,
heed not the Devil’s call.
The darkest hour is approaching,
the wicked wolves will fall.
