It could have happened any day. It happened today. Airplanes fell from the skies. Cars slammed into one another. Pilots, drivers, passengers all gone. Infants disappeared from strollers. The townspeople shouted, “An alien invasion!” Newspapers headlined, “Thousands kidnapped!” Fox began blasting their story, “Leftwing terrorists Target Religious Conservatism!” CNN countered with “Rightwing fanatics throw suspicion on progressives!” The Deity shook his head and said, “Why won’t they learn to unite and smile? If this doesn’t get their attention, nothing will!” Writing Prompt Write a story of 80 words. not including the title. Any subject accepted. Must be exactly 80 words. Author Notes
