We're camping out tonight, what fun!
We'll pitch our tent and when we're done,
we'll run the trail through the trees,
and fall down laughing on our knees.
A light set out says dinner's ready,
hot dogs cut up in spaghetti.
With campfire brownies done just right,
the five of us will feast tonight!
Two sisters, mom and dad and I,
watch fireflies up in the sky.
In sleeping bags, we'll snuggle down,
the crickets are the only sound.
A million stars are high above,
the outdoors is the place I love.
It isn't scary when we roam,
our backyard's not that far from home.
A few quick steps to our screen door,
and we are home just like before.
The camping life's the one for me,
it makes me happy as can be!
