God's little messengers
Heaven's Stars by John Cranford
Repetition Poem writing prompt entry

The lights that pierce the evening skies
Are sent from heaven's store
The moonless night gives way to light
The darkness they ignore

The lights that pierce the evening skies
Can shoot with tails aglow
A few of us will catch a glimpse
But most will miss the show

The lights that pierce the evening skies
The night the moon's at rest
Were set in place by God Himself
Each one a name He blessed

The lights that pierce the evening skies
Tell us that God is there
There is no dark to those with faith
His light He'll always share
