The six year old twin girls were encouraged to be brave for their before bed journey through the trees to the outside toilet. “Shine your torches up into the trees, you may see some fairies” said their mother. But night after night ‘No Fairies’ Walking back to the house on the fifth evening the twins heard some tinkling sounds. They looked up and there in the trees were two fairies dancing to the music. Writing Prompt Write a complete story in 80 words or less. The theme is 'Surprise.' You may incorporate this theme into the story any way you wish, but it must somehow relate to the topic. Author Notes This story is true. It happened to me and my cousin when we were on summer holiday with our parents. I must say it was tricky cutting the words back to no more than 80, but a good writing exercise.
