Tiddles passed away today
Aged seventeen and going grey
No longer will he scratch and claw
Miaows outside the kitchen door.

Dad once said " I'll kill that cat
Look what he's done to my best hat
Ruined all my lovely marrows
Only fit for chasing sparrows"

Mum said " Oh he was a dear"
Brushing from her eye a tear
Gran replied " He was quite nice
Got rid of all those perishing mice"

My little baby sister Pam
Thinking of her empty pram
Sobbed bitterly with sister Molly
For they had lost their favourite dolly.

Me~I miss him most of all
Streets away he'd hear me call
A furry flash ~ then he was there
With me on our favourite chair

Just a greying ball of fur
Now no longer will he purr
Nor no longer to chase mice
In that moggy paradise

Down the garden you will see
A very special kind of tree
It's furry leaves being Tiddles pillow
He's buried 'neath a Pussy Willow.
