My thoughts on the rainbow
The rainbow by Graham Byrne
A Rainbow writing prompt entry

    The Rainbow
            The rainbow is Gods covenant
            From dinosaurs to smallest ants
Perhaps, once creatures, all could see
            Gods wonder, cre-a-tiv-it-y.

I really find it sad today
That man has dared to make a play
            With rainbows almost baring shame
One day the Lord will come again

He’ll be on a cloud there riding high
With angels gathering in the sky
            I’m sure there’ll be a rainbow then
He may even use it to descend

            Man has almost cast aside
His love for God, he takes no pride
At wondrous beauty God had made
He’s lessened beauty to a shade

When I look up into the sky
And see the rainbow riding high
            I find I feel God’s being mocked
By those who dare creation rock

It is hard to look and feel the joy
I felt when I was just a boy
Those who play the rainbow game
Will end their life in bitter shame

Writing Prompt
Write a poem of any kind about a rainbow.

Author Notes
For me the rainbow is God's covenant.
Man has dared to use a beauty God has given and if anything used it without respect.
