He yelled in through the window; he said come and look outside
And when I did I saw the birds were scattering to hide
The sky was darker than I've seen from any other storm
And for the month of April this was far from any norm
The clouds were black and blue like they'd been in a bitter fight
The field looked like a gold mine that was sprinkled with sunlight
I grabbed my phone to take a pic and chills went down my spine
A shocking eerie feeling coming from the power-line
Suddenly the air that seemed to be so still before
Now would prove its power like if settling a score
Anything that wasn't tied, was fair game to the wind
The thunder roaring down so loud as if to say we sinned.
I started for the house 'cause now it's voice was getting mean
A thief from in the night just took our grandkid's trampoline
Before it got much worse, we safely went into our home
That's how I got my photo shot and how you got my poem

Author Notes
I had my husband explain this to me so I hope I get it right in the translation. It was the results from an earlier thunder-snow since we had snow in the morning and then it got hot, so that is why it looked so wicked. Because there was so much snow this winter, it was piled up high everywhere, but where it had melted already the ground was no longer frozen. The different temps in ground and atmosphere caused havoc with each other, thus causing this phenomenon. Neither of us have ever seen this kind of storm so early in the season and never to such a degree of strange characteristics.
