Excellent A short rhymed poem Learning To Fly : Splash! by Debra White

It must've been around half nine, before the sun turned up the heat that Moll and I walked out the door, then down the drive and up our street.   We ventured left, along the lane and headed t'wards Moll's happy place. (She pulled a bit, she always does, as if she's in some secret race.)   She led me to the gravelled path. I let her loose, and like a flash she bounded through the sea of scrub and flopped into the water - Splash!     Author Notes Friday 26th May 2023.
