Exceptional In sonnet style-aabb Our Windstorm by jaybird1

The wind blew for many hours, causing us to lose electric powers. We shivered, prayed all through the time. All I could do was write more rhyme.   The power was off for six days, my mind was foggy, in a haze. I wondered what that I could do, to clear my mind and see it through.   Neighbors loaned their generators, that opened for me many doors. Thank God for neighbors in those hours, for them I send my fervent prayers.   There may be more, still coming yet- But I'll be ready, you can bet.   March-2023 Recognized Author Notes Thank to my kindly neighbors- jaybird
