A Poetic Pause
: Tides of Copper by Lea Tonin1
Kyrielle poetry writing prompt entry

Heated summer the sand bar sings,
in pools of warmth, the crabs glee brings,
Dancing diamonds green sea offers,
while she waits in tides of copper.

Sun quivers on the horizon,
hangs before the collide risin'.
Darkness creeps approaches proper,
while she waits in tides of copper.

Golden orb creeping down she weeps,
knowing now ther'll be no retreat.
Blood is all that flows in coffers,
while she waits in tides of copper.

Example:

Some days I sing, some days I cry.
My soul's the one determines why.
Sometimes it laughs, sometime it mourns.
On my bouquet are many thorns.

Wake up each day, face a dqrk cloud.
My happiness wrapped in a shroud.
The day begins, to me it scorns.
On my bouquet are many thorns.

Lay down my head, dark nights begun.
With the sad setting of the sun.
From all my sorrows mycheart mourns.
On my bouquet are many thorns.
