This worry grows within my mind  of evolutionary cost  Connection scarce in humankind  -  all empathy will soon be lost  Writing Prompt Write a poem with only two lines. Recognized Author Notes I can't help but wonder if technological advancements, coupled with this widespread acceptance of virtual interactions, are putting us at risk. Humans are meant to evolve, and connecting with one another is rapidly dwindling. Our fundamental human characteristics, such as instincts, intuition, and empathy, are threatened if this trend continues. My constant worry is: could it eventually lead to the extinction of these traits in the human species?
