There's a device I hold in my hand,
I communicate upon demand.
I can record content on the spot,
Some things are amusing, some are not.
If my phone battery should die out,
I would be upset without a doubt.
I would search for a charging device,
My lifeline must not be left on ice.
It may appear, attached to my ear,
Some things I say no one else should hear.
In a nightmare, I got a strange twist,
I dreamt that cell phones did not exist.
Woke up with a start, and racing heart,
Never will I let us be apart.
They say a man should cling to his wife,
My cell phone's essential to my life.

Author Notes
This just a silly poem celebrating a person's love of their cell phone. It does not even truly reflect my feelings about cell phones. They are necessary true, but I am not lost without one, or feel that I must have one that works 24/7.
