Excellent Late night session. The Writer by Douglas Goff      Surprise! 80 Words or Less Contest Winner

The accomplished writer typed out some more words. He was working on a piece about how the dead sometimes had trouble letting go of the things they loved most in life.  A loved one. A favorite house.  An item. This accounted for many hauntings.  Their unwillingness to let go.  He typed out a few more words, completing the piece.  He loved to write.  With a sigh, he hit submit and leaned back in the chair. Then surprisingly, he slowly disappeared . . . Writing Prompt Write a complete story in 80 words or less. The theme is 'Surprise.' You may incorporate this theme into the story any way you wish, but it must somehow relate to the topic. Surprise! 80 Words or Less Contest Winner
