Racing cars loaded with drink
Drink bottles thrown into bush
Bush accepts shattered bottle
Bottle waits for magnifying sun
Sun lights the dry grasses
Grasses curl smoke to fire
Fire is fueled by lack of rain
Rain, life-giving rain, waiting
Waiting for mushroom clouds
Clouds pregnant with rain
Rain nowhere to be seen
Seen brown grass instead of green
Green grass dead and feeding flames
Flames flush native animals to run
Run for their lives, seeking shelter
Shelter, none to be had; incinerated
Incinerated, bloated sheep black as night
Night approaches and fire trucks roar
Roar to the flames, wipe out fires
Fires too fierce, men in tears
Tears of frustration, not able to cease
Cease this devastation, tried at least
Least of these volunteers scream
Scream into the night - no more!
More fires will take our lands
Lands once fertile and green
Green has moved on as floods
Floods have taken all in path
Path of devastation fire blazes
Blazes and takes 50,000 hectares
Hectares of grazing land dead
Dead land desert worthless

Author Notes
Already the fires have started. The town of Miles saw 50,000 hectares taken by raging fires. Stupidity wreaks devastation. My Loop poem does not rhyme.
