8:22AM. Daughter's first day of Kindergarten. After five years, finally time to myself. I can shower without a tiny partner, finish my coffee while it is hot. I can read a book. Watch real television. Eat a meal minus little sticky fingers. I can join the gym! 8:28AM. I miss her already. Recognized Author Notes My granddaughter, Laurel.
