MY POETRY is for me, for you,
about the things I say or do.
They are the things I've wrote or done,
the battles lost, the battles won.
I write of friends and family,
the comfort that they bring to me.
Their words of wisdom, with their smiles,
has carried me through many miles.
I served my country in World War two,
when Uncle Sam said I need you.
The G I BILLwith cources taken,
caused my poetry to awaken.
I thank my Lord, for all those years,
that led me through those doubts and fears.
Until my time on earth is through,
I must go on, with what I do.
