This is a saying from days of old.
It gives you power when times look bleak,
It gives you strength when you're feeling weak.
Faith is a force, giving you power,
Giving vigour in a needy hour.
You'll forge on forward to win and gain
Conquering o'er the Devil's domain.
Faith is alive, not a fantasy
Faith is not measured by what you see,
It comes by God's wisdom from above,
A product of His unending love.
Faith is not something that's bought or sold,
It's the driving force that makes you bold.
To gain it you must in God believe,
Rejecting all that lie and deceive.
It fills up your life with love and peace
As you from life's darkness are released.
The light that shines down from God above
Is simply that faith mingled with love.
Faith knows not all that the future holds,
But trusts as God that future unfolds.
Revealing secrets both small and grand
That in its power you'll safely stand.
As the future unfolds do not fear,
Cling to your faith; and all will be clear
Stand and proclaim to all those around
Others will heed that clarion sound.
Give yourself fully to Him indeed.
Let His Divine Word become your creed.
Desperate people your faith will see
And they'll grasp His Truth that sets them free.
