A Christmas Wish
My Christmas wish is rather plain -
it's simply this - to ease world pain,
let all religion merely blend
and Man become each other's friend.
Let's light a candle, say a prayer,
join Jew and Christian if we dare,
and Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist too:
World Peace belongs to me and you.
I wish this Christmas there could be
much joy for all humanity -
an end to suffering and spite,
a need to always do what's right.
Food for the hungry, homes for all -
desire to heed a desperate call.
A hand held out to help one up -
not fists that clench, hope to disrupt
the peace and joy - the harmony.
And so, my Father, please use me.
