The sun, it shone bright on her wedding day
The bride and her maids dressed in leisurely way
A few glasses of wine amidst whispers and blushes
Then prepped and perfumed, to the church she soon rushes
The sun is just setting through the old stained glass,
and the love in Christ's eyes seems to fall on the lass
At the flower strewn alter stands the proud bridegroom
Friends and relatives scattered throughout the hushed room
Up the aisle come the maids, a guitar softly playing
Then enters the bride, her silk skirts softly swaying
As she glides down the aisle on her father's strong arm,
she knows her beloved will shield her from harm
She feels overwhelmed by the depth of her love,
as together they kneel while they're blessed from above
Then rising as one, their love sealed with a kiss,
hand in hand they depart to find their wedded bliss
