Shubert the slippery seal, sought to steal away
Escaping from the bay, his actions seemed to say
I could do this any day, and they can't even make me pay.

Author Notes
Laying in bed this morning I heard about a sea lion that escaped his surroundings and made his way to an area he was not supposed to be in. He was captured, cleaned up and transported back to where he belonged. Word was that he displayed some extraordinary skills in pulling off his escape. That was what inspired this silly little poem. I hope you like it.
