If love is a many splendored thing,
how many splendors does it have?
One: its warm comfort, two: strength,
three, its power to grow
Wait! There’s so much more!
I’ve decided
not to count.
Love is
all.

Author Notes
With all the songs, poems, movies, and plays about 'love', you'd think we understand it. But it's beyond us.
The first line of the poem is taken from a song, Love is a Many Splendid Thing, sung by Andy Williams. I remember hearing it as a kid and looking forward to having that kind of love. I do. (MOST of the time! lol)
I think I Corinthians 13: 4-8a says it best.
"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends."
That's a tall order, at least for me. I take GREAT comfort in knowing that, since God is the embodiment of love, this is how He loves me.
And me? I'm working on it! :)
Thank y'all for reading. Blessings to each of you.
8 Love never ends.
