Our world is in a frightful place.
I wonder will we ever face,
in time to help each ailing town
and put this fearful problem down.
Violence abounds upon the street
and we are scared of those we meet.
We can't drink water, here or there
and wonder about polluted air.
The ice is melting at the poles.
Dear Lord, please save our fractured souls.
Wars continue, they never cease,
we all could use more love and peace.
Climate change brings heat and storms.
We are above the usual norms.
Have mercy on our troubled souls,
we'll never reach the needed goals.
