There is something about a sunset minute,
That puts a glow within the spirit,
And extra special is the ken,
That tomorrow night it'll do it again.
Each morning up, each evening down,
With colours glorious in which to drown,
A spectacle of light and vision,
Each nuance placed with such precision.
A moment shared with those around,
Watching spellbound without a sound,
The heavens send a visible prayer,
To each and every one who's there.
What can we take from this pageant of light,
A moment of peace whilst in our sight,
We can enjoy this prodigious display,
And reflect upon our deeds today.
Tomorrow's dawn will start anew,
Fresh and clean and washed with dew,
A day-blank canvas on which to paint.
Be noble and bold, not flimsy and faint.
The day will judge, have you been good?
And conducted yourself the way you should?
If you have, I'll guarantee,
Another sunset show you'll see.
