Kanchi Poem - Double
One Thousand Cranes
: If I Could Have Anyone by Gypsy Blue Rose

If I could have anyone

at the end of the world,

I would ask for you, darlin’,

my uncontrollable love.

I would not request gold

or diamonds galore,

I would just want your lips

to kiss

      more

            more

                  more.

If I could have anyone

at the end of the world,

it would be you, my love..

It would not be a last meal

of ambrosia and wine,

I would want to hear

your contagious laugh

to fill my

      heart

            heart

                  heart

Author Notes
KANSHI FORM IS WRITTEN IN 5 to 7 SYLLABLES AND 4 to 8 LINES. Japanese poets wrote in classical Chinese during the Tang Dynasty in the Heian Era (794-1185), Chinese was the language of courts in Japan.
