As stars come out in bright array I celebrate the end of day with biscuits and hot tea. The stresses of the day I shed before I curl onto my bed with Ginger next to me. I dream of floating to the moon inside a glitzy red balloon. Just leave it all behind. But soon I hear the bluebirds sing as earth begins awakening. And coffee's on my mind. While Ginger stretches by my side, my eyes begin to open wide. Reality sinks in. Another dawn, another day, I know not what may come my way. Just let the fun begin. Author Notes Ginger would be the cat... The rime couee is a French poetic form that uses six-line stanzas with a 3-part rhyme scheme and variable line lengths.
