Pain is a lost person Wandering aimlessly  through me …   Pain is the tears  Forming ponds, Then rivers, swelling to floods Coursing through me.   Pain is the volcano crater  Grumbling and spewing Erratically, before the roar  Of a violent eruption Shattering me.    Pain is a spark Igniting fires,  Starting a blaze, Roaring out of control, Burning all in its path, Destroying me.   Dust to dust, Ashes to ashes.   Writing Prompt Please write a rhyming or free form poem on any subject. it needs to be three to five stanzas. If a rhyming poem, please rhyme at least every other line. Author Notes Format: Free verse, stanzas of three lines, four lines, five lines, then six lines, followed by the two-line conclusion. This may be physical, emotional or psychological pain.
