The King of Rock 'N Roll,
can anyone deny
that Elvis was that guy?
With hips out of control!
He grew up in the south,
a Mississippi boy.
His talent he'd employ,
gold sounds poured from his mouth.
He set the stage for change,
he got us "All Shook Up".
His fame would soon erupt,
though oldsters thought him strange.
I Watched all his movies,
He had an acting spree!
His films they were to me,
excessively so groovy!
Quite handsome Elvis was,
he made the women swoon
when he would sing a tune.
why so? Well, just because...
He was different than the rest,
young people were set free.
Rock 'N Roll from then would be,
what Elvis would do best.
He once came to our city,
April 29th 77,
four months before going to heaven.
Couldn't go, that was a pity.
Sadly, bad decisions made,
with his health in decline,
fate soon would not be kind,
but his fame would never fade.
Elvis died all alone,
though millions were his fans.
Still, God had other plans,
when he called Elvis home.
He's gone but still he lives,
everybody knows his name.
His fame remains the same,
from the gifts he had to give.
