Jesus, I need a Hug
Today, Jesus, I need a Hug from you.
My faith is shaken, you are the only one who can restore it.
My joy has left me through grieve.
Disappointments have replaced my peace.
Jesus, I need a Hug. Embrace me with your healing power.
I need to be comforted by you this hour.
I need reassurance you are near and that you care.
My spirit knows these truths,
but my mind whispers a different message.
Jesus, I need a Hug. I need your comforting voice.
You said you would never leave me.
I need to feel your presence.
Please don’t be silent now.
Restore me, to be who I am supposed to be.
Remind me of who you are.
Comforter, Healer, Protector, and my Peace.
I know I can trust you.
Jesus, I need a Hug.

Author Notes
This poem was written about two months after my sister passed away. She passed away February 23, 2022. Reality hits hard sometimes. My faith is my strength.
