Write The Lyrics To A Country Song writing prompt entry

(Verse 1)
The smoke was thick in the Warhorse Saloon.
Three were playin' cards with the gunslinger Boone.
It weren't luck like they were led to believe
when the black ace of spades fell from his sleeve.

(Chorus)
And they were quick to the draw from leather to lead.
Quick to the draw, from living to dead.
"Out here, quick is the law," the gunslinger said.
"So be quick to the draw from leather to lead."

(Verse 2)
The sheriff went searching 'neath the dark harvest moon.
Found his wife in the arms of the gunslinger Boone.
The sheriff drew first, drew his Winchester fast,
in hopes that his breath would not be his last.

(Chorus)
And they were quick to the draw from leather to lead.
Quick to the draw, from living to dead.
"Out here, quick is the law," the gunslinger said.
"So be quick to the draw from leather to lead."

(Guitar Solo)

(Verse 3)
The drifter came searching 'midst the dust of the town,
calling out the man who gunned his young brother down.
Standing in the street, waiting for high noon,
fixin' to draw on the gunslinger Boone.

(Chorus)
And they were quick to the draw from leather to lead.
Quick to the draw, from living to dead.
Quick to the draw and legends will tell.
Quick to the draw and the gunslinger fell.

And they were quick to the draw from leather to lead.
Quick to the draw, from living to dead.
"Out here, quick is the law," the dark drifter said.
"So be quick to the draw...from leather to lead."
