Truth sets us free, or so it is said
Radical lying, it follows, chains to falsehoods
Unfortunately, some politicians have no problem lying
This shamelessness abounds within certain circles
Hatefulness is on the rise because of leadership lies
Fomenting unrest and violence throughout the land
Unchecked white supremacy is on the rise
Lying by an ex-president is at the root of the boiling evil
Never again should a flawed man hold our highest office
Ever a narcissist, he still vies for continued attention
Striving for loyalty to himself is his mode of operation
Steward of our Constitution, he certainly was not

It is difficult for some to believe their leaders would lie to them because it benefits their political ambition. These liars favor self-interest over the welfare of citizens they represent.
