While Daddy Eagle spreads his wings and soars high in the air,
My Daddy holds me in his lap and rocks me in his chair.

While Daddy Bear climbs up a tree for honey from the bees,
My Daddy says a prayer with me when we get on our knees.

While Daddy Lion roams the woods, the proudest beast of all,
My Daddy watches over me to catch me when I fall.

While Daddy Monkey has long arms and swings from limb to limb,
My Daddy takes me for a walk, and I hold hands with him.

While Daddy Duck goes in the pond and swims without his clothes,
My Daddy wears a shirt and pants to places that he goes.

While Daddy Dog plays hard all day, then snuggles in his bed,
My Daddy goes to work, he says, "to bring us home the bread."

While Daddy Tiger stalks around to take a little look,
My Daddy, just before I sleep, reads me a storybook.

While Daddy Turkey struts and makes a funny gobbling sound,
My Daddy sings a little song as we dance all around.

While Daddy Owl stays up all night and calls out, "Who are you?"
My Daddy knows me by my name and calls me "Honey," too.

While Daddy Bat hangs upside down, as blind as he can be,
My Daddy gives a little wink when he says he loves me.

While other Daddies might be good, some better than the rest,
I know that, out of all of them, my Daddy is the best.
