In the depths of blue-green water,
underneath the dark dead sea.
There, my love, her soul is waiting,
until I can be with she.

There, where waters loudly crashing,
there is where my heart belongs.
There where sunlight makes its passing,
there where waves beat out a song.

Underneath the rocks and gravel,
under every plant and sand.
There, my love is patiently waiting,
until I can take her hand.

So, on cliffs, my thoughts are racing.
So, the sea below me sighs.
There, I see the seagulls pacing,
calling out a long sad cry.

Now the night is falling 'round me,
so I search my heart and pray.
Then though my eyes are filled with tears, see.
My love calling come to me.

I would wait no longer said I,
taking a step more.
Then the wind was whispering 'round me,
then I hit the ocean floor.

There, my love, her soul was waiting,
She shall be with me forever more.

Writing Prompt
Share with us one of your oldest pieces of poetry, exactly as you wrote it. It doesn?t need to be your earliest work - just something old enough that you can see your progression as a writer. I want to see all those excessive ellipses, capitals at the start of every line, the abundance of semicolons, the pretentious repetition, the unnecessary line spaces that are.....

SO.....

IMPORTANT....

to my art!

I want you to swear on your honour you won't edit it before posting (adding an image is allowed, as we're in Fanstory Land). Other than that, no limitations.

Previous entrants are more than welcome, but remember these must be pieces you haven?t shared previously on Fanstory. Go digging in your old school notebooks with random scribblings in them - find us something fun and interesting!
