Sunshine by nature, Sunny by name …
How did I manage before he came?
He's my dear shadow in all I do
Follows me faithfully, sticks like glue
We talk without words – just a look he needs
He inspires my stories, thoughts and deeds
We both pretend that he can type
As he joins me on our family Skype
He's trained me well, likes human foods …
His walks and rubs lift both our moods
How much love can a dog's heart hold?
My dog's sweet love can scarce be told.

Author Notes
When we got Sunny in December 2019, his name was Crank. It did not suit his happy nature at all, so I immediately changed his name to Sunny, which he accepted immediately; I am sure he knew he needed a name change. He writes stories about his thoughts and adventures at times, for FanStory, but we enter them under my name. He has lots of wonderful fans on the site, both human and canine - plus one special feline!
The photo is of Sunny.
