Author Notes
TERCET is brief poem composed of three lines, forming a stanza or a complete poem. Like in a haiku, poets use minimal language to convey an idea or paint a picture. The effect is a memorable poem that invites the reader to fill in the blanks. The tercet lines are connected grammatically for a better flow. You can use alliteration, metaphor, and personification.
