The Kouta ( short song) is a popular Japanese verse form of the Muromachi Period, 14th thru 16th century. The form is 4 lines 7/5/7/5 or 7/7/7/5 and the theme is usually love songs or life. The song "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is a nine-part Pink Floyd composition written by David Gilmour, Roger Waters, and Richard Wright. It appeared on Pink Floyd's 1975 concept album Wish You Were Here.
