Dusk, pink clouds turned to red
The old fishing boat lapped waves
Many a year she had fished with men
many a year they had flogged her again
She was tired, old and tired, time to rest
Her gunnels were leaking, filled with fish
The men didn't care it was all for cash
Her timbers moaned with aching sides
Suddenly a merman climbed her sail
I see you are tired and need to rest
The merman her only guest
Darkness fell and she groaned
I am tired and smell of fish, they flog me
I can release you to the seas, merman cried
Please help me she slowly sighed
Come away with me and you'll be free
He uncorked her drainage plugs
Fresh seawater washed away smell
Slowly, slowly she began to fill
Sleeping in the depths of sea
Merman swam over her body deep
Suddenly a mermaid emerged
Swam to him smiling and free
I am the Lady Anne
