U.S. Navy Humor by Regina Elliott
Humorous 50 Word Story writing prompt entry

One morning, I wore my new enlisted
uniform walking to my office. I saluted
sharply a Navy officer. He stopped,
said drolly, "Sailor, you look squared
away, but you don't need to show how
much you paid for it." There it was, on
my saluting arm's sleeve, the price tag.

Writing Prompt
Write a humorous 50 word story. 50
words exactly. No need to have a
beginning, a conflict or resolution.
Just tell something funny in 50 words.
No poetry.

Author Notes
All those years ago, one of some fond memories of Navy life. ~
