A Voice Calling by poetwatch

When I'm asleep
I hear you call
and when I wake
I feel so small.

Why is it so?
Am I alone?
Like a small ant
unseen, no one?

Yet, I sense your
love calling me,
a gentle kind
voice from the sea.

I feel this urge
to touch your face,
to feel your love
and find my place.

I'm no one, but
a grain of sand
born in the sun
that thrives on land.

Why do you call?
I have no wings
so I can fly,
and I can't sing?

I do believe
the day's close by
when you'll arrive
and tell me why.

I may be blind,
can hardly hear.
but you're the voice
I hold so dear.

Author Notes
I feel the caress of love touch my soul and spirit. It may be nothing but the desire to see.Yet, I am no one. Soooo, I guess I'm getting old. :)

Thanks go to Jan.
