Ekphrastic Cube 16 Poem
Interpretations For Consideration
: This Boy by Debra White

His eyes are closed
beneath the hair.
He plays guitar
like no one's there.

Each waking hour
this boy devotes
to strumming strings
and weaving notes

that wail and soar.
His repertoire
is unrestrained.
He plays guitar.

He bends and slides,
he picks and strums
and when he's done?
He plays the drums.
