Death paused on his rounds
to pick up someone out of turn
despite those eagerly waiting
He likes to shock and surprise
out of cue He enters the stage
to down the curtains of life
But 'He need not be proud'
For he is not winning
Safe are they in God's arms
Sun sets to rise again
lilacs will bloom in spring
somewhere there will be a rebirth.
