"Pride goeth before a fall",
the bible states that it's so.
Is being proud such a bad thing?
Not sure, I really don't know.
Our parents said be proud, stand tall,
take pride in the work you do.
Does God frown on pridefulness,
should we be proud or not, which is true?
It's from Proverbs, yes, I looked it up.
Being arrogant and conceited,
thinking too highly of yourself,
may lead to your being defeated.
I apologize, but I disagree,
having pride in yourself is okay.
If kids are raised right, they can be proud
and humble as they make their way.
A balance is what is needed,
a mix of kindness and love.
Be proud of yourself but remember,
God's watching you from up above.
