Souls, be free and join me,
In a song of hope and prayer,
The world is changing,
Mangled as if strange paralysis,
Where blood does not bind,
Just a design as we see past our sadness.
We realise,
We are no more the way we are,
Just transient travelers,
With no possessions in this reality of mine,
Just as alone we come, we leave as such,
As memories fade as souls leave,
And partake in the trails of the universe,
Beyond ourselves, as we leave our carbon body,
This cold body of existence,
To join the splendour which beings call
-heaven
It is our destiny, so some say
To belong to the 'big picture'
To function at full potential (haha as some would say)
It is a falsehood that we believe
That we need to rise to this.
When it is all there,
It is our free will,
That releases it,
Our choice, our freedom
To decide, to believe, to live
We can choose-
We can decide-
Until the day we realize this
We will, and always be a slave,
To others and ourselves.
We will always be in the prison,
Of mind and body,
So, my fellow beings, humans us all,
Shall we not rise?
Shall we not say to ourselves,
Let us rise together,
Forget our rules, our societal conundrum,
Forget that we are different, forget vanilla.
Just be, true to the nature of our souls
True energy, pure energy that is within.
No, I am not talking about just warm fuzzy,
I am talking about realness, truthfulness,
Moments of clarity where we see, truly see
We are the children,
We are the parents,
We are the energies,
We are the ones who live, present, past and future.
We choose our paths,
And one day, we will.

Author Notes
This came to me while thinking about what I live for and for what? For others? For richness of mind or body or ego or soul? I think at times when we try to please ourselves or others, we miss the point. Where are 'we' in such situations? Sacrifice in itself with no reference to oneself. I don't see the relevance. Apologies if it sounds rude or crude. Just saying. This is just my opinion, just sharing.
